My wife and I believe that Allerca Lifestyle pets is a total rip-off.  Here’s the chronology of our dealings with them:

On January 12th, 2007 Allerca sent an e-mail confirming the order and providing instructions for payment.  Based on a phone conversation with their sales department, and information on their web site at the time, the kitten was supposed to be delivered in 7-9 months, that is between mid-August and mid-October 2007.

On January 20, 2007, we sent full payment to Allerca.

In late August 2007, Allerca told us that we would receive information about the color and sex of the kitten by September 25th and delivery by October 25, 2007.

In mid-October, Allerca told us the delivery was scheduled for January, 2008.

On November 5, 2007, we asked Allerca to cancel our order and refund our payment.

On November 6, 2007, Allerca e-mailed that delivery on January 18, 2008 was “a firm date” and offered a refund “if you so wish.”

On March 9, 2008, we again requested a refund.  On March 10, 2008, Allerca said: “We will of course refund you as per your request.”

On April 5, 2008, we again requested payment of a refund.

On May 20, 2008, Allerca said that “our offer to refund you has been withdrawn”…”your purchase is non-refundable” and ”we have absolute discretion  when to provide such a kitten.”

On March 13, 2009, we received a a letter from an attorney that said she represents Lifestyle Pets and demanded that we "immediately cease and desist from operating a website on the internet under a domain name incorporating our client's marks, or other confusingly similar names."
